Welcome to our Events Page! Here you can find out about upcoming NOTIY workshops and book your attendance. 

 
As an Iyengar Yoga practitioner you have the opportunity to join NOTIY as a member through the Iyengar Yoga (UK) website. 
 
Benefits of Membership include a twice-yearly magazine, Iyengar Yoga News, which contains articles by leading Iyengar yoga teachers (digital only also subscription available). The opportunity to network with other Iyengar yoga practitioners and teachers. Eligibility to book a place at the IY (UK) Annual Convention and access to Members area of the IY (UK) website.

Yoga workshop with Senior teacher Marios Argiros

Marios Argiros is a Senior Intermediate level 3 teacher who teaches regularly abroad and around the UK. Following his inaugural NOTIY workshop in May 2017, Marios returns to Nottingham by popular demand. Book soon to avoid disappointment!

Date: Saturday 2 May, 2020

Venue: Nottingham Girls’ High School, 9 Arboretum St, Nottingham, NG1 4JB.

Timings: Morning asana workshop 10 – 1pm and afternoon restorative workshop 1.45 – 3.15pm 

Price: Morning only £28 /  Both Sessions £36

Attendance is either all day, or morning only, places limited to 45

The workshop is open to those with 6 months’ or more Iyengar yoga experience

PLEASE NOTE: If the workshop has to be cancelled for any reason, including if the Government banned events from taking place because of Coronavirus, then a full refund will be made to all participants. 
 
However, if you book, and later decide not to attend because of your own concern about Coronavirus, then a refund will not be available. Our normal Ts&Cs would apply, which are that your payment would be carried forward to a future workshop.
 

Yoga workshop with RIMYI Teacher – Dr Rajlaxmi

Dr Rajlaxmi is one of the very senior teachers at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI) who has worked and studied closely with the Iyengar family for decades. We are extremely honoured that she has included Nottingham in her 2020 teaching tour of the UK. This is an opportunity not to be missed!

Date: Wednesday 6 May, 2020

Venue: Todo Latino Dance Studio Roden House, Ashley St, Nottingham, NG3 1JH.

Timings: Afternoon 2.30pm – 5.30pm and evening 6.30pm – 8.30pm 

Price: Priority Early Bird Booking for both sessions £41 / Thereafter individual sessions can be booked for £29

Future Events

Uday Bhosale

Uday Bhosale taught at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI) for 15 years before moving to the UK where he is currently based. His workshop in Nottingham in 2018 was very popular so don’t miss this chance to experience his great teaching.

Following his very successful workshop here in 2018, Uday Bhosale will be returning to teach workshops on Saturday 12 September, 2020 and again on Saturday 24 April, 2021. Save the dates!

On the day:

Doors will open 30 minutes before event start time. Bring your own equipment e.g. mat, 5 blocks, 2 bricks, blanket and a belt. Please bring bolsters and extra belts or blankets if you have them. If you are attending morning and afternoon workshops, bring your own refreshments; it is better to have some light food at lunch time so you can enjoy the afternoon session.

NB: Photographs will be taken at all events – if you do not wish to have your photograph taken please inform a NOTIY representative in advance of the event.
